Hydrogen, the clean fuel
Matthieu Guesné is accelerating the development of his company LHYFE. A 2017 ESEO graduate, Matthieu now employs 15 people who work alongside him with a clear objective: to produce 100% green hydrogen.
Unlike ‘grey’ hydrogen derived from hydrocarbons or grid electricity, this fuel is of interest to vehicle designers and manufacturers alike, as part of a responsible future.
Lhyfe is also involved in the VHyGO (Vallée Hydrogène Grand Ouest) project, which aims to reduce the carbon footprint by 50,000 tonnes by 2024.
ESEO students are well aware of the ecological challenges facing the future of the planet, and their courses cover strategic areas such as Green IT and energy optimisation.
Each year, the Energy and Environment option trains engineers focused on the energy transition and optimising consumption, capable of providing innovative solutions to the growing need for energy, whatever the field: building, automotive, industry, photovoltaics or wind power.
