An inter-school competition
Every year, the Démosthène eloquence competition brings together students from AGRO RENNES ANGERS, ESA, ESAIP, ESEO, ESSCA, IRCOM and ISTOM. The 12 finalists rose to the challenge by putting together a well-constructed, relevant speech. This exercise enabled them to develop their thinking and organisational skills.
ESEO students in the competition
The Demosthenes competition is open to all ESEO students who wish to take part. On each participating campus, students are pre-selected for the final.
At ESEO, several students have won prizes:
- Alex Caillaud: students’ favourite award and introspection prize for his essay on “Commitment”
- Fatoumata Oumar Ly: winner of the rhetoric prize and the jury’s “Coup de coeur” award for her essay on “Entrepreneurship: a solution for reducing unemployment in Africa”
- Fatoumata Djamila Coulibaly: cultural openness prize for her subject “The evolution of African culture”
- Alaeddine Barkallah: Testimonial prize for his essay on “The immigration of young Africans”
Alex Caillaud and Fatoumata Djamila Coulibaly, both 1st year engineering students on the Dijon campus, travelled to the Agro Angers-Rennes campus for the inter-campus final.
