The ESEO 2022 Open Days highlighted a “visible minority” among our students: female students! Far from the image of the all-male computer engineer, female students at ESEO represent 20% of the student body, and make up for their small numbers by their unfailing involvement in the life of the school.
That’s how Melissa, Juliette, Émilie, Louise-Marie and Louise greeted visitors at the latest Open Day at the Angers engineering campus. Dressed in their pink sweatshirts, they were on hand with the President of the Student Office to answer questions from students and their parents.
The major challenges facing our society cover a wide range of fields: health, transport, cybersecurity, urbanisation, energy, etc. To meet these challenges, the future female ESEO engineers, like all their fellow students, have a mastery of digital technologies, from electronics to large-scale data processing.
Through its involvement with student clubs such as ” Elleseo ” and“ingénieuses.eseo“, and organisations such as “ Elles bougent “, the School is working to include more women in new technology careers and to show secondary school girls that there is a place for them in these courses.
