On Friday 24 May, our brilliant team of second-year engineering students, remarkably coached by Jérémie Haquet, head of the Transport and Intelligent Vehicles option, won the UTAC “vehicles of the future” challenge, 2024 edition!
But that’s not all… Our students from the Paris-Vélizy campus are also going home with two other trophies: 1st prize for the free event and the special prize awarded by the company NBTech.
What is the UTAC challenge?
Organised under the aegis and with the support of the Société des Ingénieurs de l’Automobile, this is the first European student challenge to be held in a real environment, dedicated to future autonomous and connected mobility. It focuses on the design of partial or complete vehicles, or systems and functions linked to future mobility.
Their performance is assessed by a panel of experts, based on four tests and technical criteria:
- automated urban course
- automated motorway route
- automated parking,
- demonstration and challenge of driving, design and simulation functionalities.
