The aim of these optional courses is to prepare future ESEO engineers for a career or for one-off assignments abroad.
On the one hand, they enable them to prepare for an international Master’s degree at an ESEO partner university, and on the other hand, they allow them to develop and deepen cultural and linguistic skills specific to the country and region of study.
These courses lead to a recognised double degree:
- a Master’s degree from a foreign university
- and the ESEO engineering diploma.
Responding to the dual challenges facing businesses
Companies face a dual challenge. The first relates to the multicultural challenges of their internationalisation. The second stems from the complexity and diversity of the professions within them.
For ESEO and its partners, it is essential to meet the needs of companies. To prepare future managers who are aware of this dual challenge, it is necessary to train international engineers with both technological and international skills.
Partner universities
With more than 40 international Masters programmes in partnership, ESEO is one of the engineering schools in France that offers the most dual degree programmes abroad.
Admission procedures
The programme includes solid training in high-tech engineering (computer science, electronics, embedded systems, biomedical, environment, etc.) as well as two semesters of study abroad (China, UK, Brazil, Romania, USA, Argentina, etc.).
A wide choice of options/Masters is offered both at ESEO, with 15 technological options, and at international partner universities.
The international dual degree courses are open to all students, according to the selection criteria of the partner institutions: academic level, credits validated at ESEO before departure, language level, etc.
There are two ways of admission, after selection by the engineering school and the partner university (please note that courses may change from year to year, for more information contact ESEO):
- After Bac S or STI / STL: the International double-diploma programme lasts 6 years.
General case: 4 years at ESEO, 1 year at the partner university abroad, then 1 year at ESEO on return; - After CPGE or DUT (bac+2): the International double-diploma programme lasts 4 years.
General case: 2 years at ESEO, 1 year at the partner university abroad, then 1 year at ESEO on return.
Programmes co-financed by the European Union (Erasmus+) and the Pays de la Loire Region (Envoléo).
Tuition fees
In addition to the 3-year ESEO Engineering Cycle, some programmes require the payment of tuition fees to the host institution, depending on the Masters programme and the country.
Around 35% of the Masters programmes offered have annual tuition fees ranging from €0 to €150. However, some universities offer Masters programmes in partnership at over €9,000 per year, depending on exchange rates and fields of study.
