Press release / Paris, xx November 2022
The 1st national Connected Women Forum will be held in Angers on 23 and 24 November. This event, the only one of its kind in France, stands out by virtue of its original positioning: on the one hand, by sharing and promoting successful initiatives (rather than the alarming findings that are already well known), and on the other, by bringing together the worlds of education (schoolgirls, training, etc.) and technology (recruitment, gender diversity, etc.).
Feminising the tech world
Over two days, this event will bring together students, institutions and business leaders with a common goal: to strengthen the place of women in the technology professions. Connected Women will give the floor to more than sixty inspiring personalities. The ESEO engineering school is co-organising this event with the City of Angers, which is free and open to all.
Around fifty exhibitors will be on hand to welcome visitors over the two days:
- Initiatives Village: companies and associations working to promote gender equality
- Espace Ateliers: scientific associations working with schoolchildren
- Training Area: female students from post-baccalaureate training establishments
- Career Development Area: organisations offering paid vocational training.
The programme:
- 23 November: a day dedicated to schoolchildren. The aim is to inspire young people and encourage them to consider technical and scientific careers for their future: 20 careers testimonies, a Girls companies and associations village, workshops and training courses.
- November 24: a day dedicated to professionals. The aim is to share solutions, both in France and internationally, through a number of round tables focusing on successful initiatives: stereotypes and training; recruitment, attractiveness and CSR; public initiatives and the importance of local ecosystems, etc.
