On Friday May 31, 2024, Arts et Métiers, a major engineering school which trains leaders in responsible industries, ESEO, a Grande École d’Ingénieurs and ESSCA, a Grande École de management, signed a partnership agreement, based on the hybridization of knowledge and CSR.
This collaboration aims to create synergy between the three Angevin institutions, thus strengthening the quality of teaching and research through common projects and shared skills, while responding to contemporary challenges of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. .
The hybridization of skills: a showcase for local students
The signing of this partnership agreement aims to achieve the same objective: the hybridization of skills. Each of the entities will be required to promote its DNA while promoting its key expertise: Arts et Métiers and its base in industrial engineering, ESEO and its mastery in the fields of electronics and digital technology, or even ESSCA and its knowledge -do in management.
This collaboration is made possible thanks to the pooling of material resources (premises, equipment, etc.) but also human resources. It will enable projects of a larger scale and better quality to be carried out.
Mixed teams of students will work on entrepreneurial projects and participate in challenges, particularly in the areas of diversity and inclusion, thus promoting innovation and creativity. Teaching modules will also be shared, such as energy, the environment or green industry.
Raise awareness of sustainable development and social responsibility
The second objective of this association of skills is to raise awareness, more widely and more strongly, among its students about the issues of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.
Sonia Wanner, Director of ESEO, argues that “The idea of this convention is to train responsible professionals who are aware of environmental and social challenges. ”
In addition, Jean Charroin, General Director of ESSCA, specifies: “With this partnership, ESSCA is pursuing its strategic objective of hybridizing the skills of its students, in order to prepare them for the major technological and environmental transitions to come.”
Finally, Laurent Champaney, General Director of Arts et Métiers indicates “With this partnership, Arts et Métiers is pursuing its objective of directing more students towards the various professions in the social and responsible industry”.
In this context, the partnership agreement signed by the three entities will allow:
- Expanding the training of professionals with ethics and responsibility in the face of environmental and societal issues.
- The development of technologies necessary to support projects and innovations, whether they arise from training or research.
- Stimulating reflection around environmental and societal issues while promoting deserving actions, in school and outside.
